Ichigo forced Ishida to team up in combat with hollow and forget who killed the most hollow. Right at the moment, they see the hollows head for the cracks in the sky. Ishida immediately ran toward it, and insisted that he will continue this competition.

Rukia tried to stop Ichigo because she fear that Menos Grande is too strong, but Urahara stop her with Bakudou (spell-binding). Meanwhile, Chad and Inoue viewing from afar in accordance with the request from Urahara.
Finally, Ishida invite Ichigo join forces. Ishida asks Ichigo to control his reiatsu and out to the maximum limit, but Ichigo did not understand. Then he goes forward to attack Menos Grande with his full power. However, Ichigo releases too much spiritual power when he combat with Menos Grande. He become weakened and his zanpakutou began to lose shape. After that, Ishida uses his power to help Ichigo.
